Rainier Community Center

The 28,000 sq.ft. center is located at the crossroads of several culturally diverse neighborhoods.  The site was formerly a landfill, requiring a sophisticated foundation and below-grade venting system for the facility. 

Three entries afford access from the surrounding neighborhood, each lead to a light-filled central lobby and reception area.  The center includes a double gymnasium, computer centers, office spaces and multi-purpose rooms.
